What can you be doing over the course of your university degree to give yourself the best chance of securing an offer?

  • You will be asked to fill out an online application form, which records personal information, your academic results and other achievements. You will be required to attach a cover letter, your CV and your academic transcript(s).

Your one page cover letter should provide a short description of your achievements and your suitability for the role as measured against our criteria. It is also an appropriate place to include any other factors that you believe makes you a strong candidate.

Please check over your application carefully before submitting to ensure the information is factual, up to date and accurate.

  • Pottinger is proud to have a team whose strength stems from diversity. We do not recruit solely on academic achievement, but seek to find people who satisfy a broad range of criteria and who we believe will make a positive and ongoing contribution to our business. On this basis, we will select candidates for interviews who we believe meet our criteria.

If you are selected for an interview, you can expect a three stage process. Over these stages, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Learn more about who we are and the experience we offer

    • Inform us more about who you are, your background and your interest in this industry

    • Demonstrate logical reasoning and general industry knowledge

    • Explore our website and think about what questions you would like to ask us, or what you would like to understand in order to ascertain whether a career in corporate advisory is appealing to you

    • Reflect on who you are and be prepared to share your interests, motivations and how you will contribute to a team environment

    • Ensure that you are up to date with major events in the financial markets. Even if you do not understand all that you read, it is a great opportunity to ask questions or demonstrate your curiosity

    • Most importantly - be yourself. We want to learn about you and you about us
